The EDC Cap Kit includes the worlds lightest headset top cap (4.2g), and an EDC steerer plug with drain hole which keeps crud out of your steerer.
Top caps are compatible with all 1-1/8" aluminum steerer tubes.
The EDC steerer plug is required for EDC tool storage and is compatible with most aluminum tapered steerer tubes.

INSTALL THE EDC TOP CAP
- You need a minimum of 5mm of headset spacer above the stem and your steerer tube should be 1-2mm below the top of this spacer.
- Apply a small amount of grease to your newly cut thread and screw in your new EDC top cap.
- The Top Cap interface uses a standard cassette lockring tool. You do not need to apply much torque as you are only preloading the bearings. (Your stem pinch bolts are what holds your fork in place). The EDC multitool contains a top cap tightening tool. So even when riding you always have the ability to tighten your headset if need be.
- Align your stem and tighten your stem bolts to the manufacturers recommended torque.
- The final step is to insert the plastic bung/plug into the bottom of your fork. Turn your 8mm hex sideways and use it to push the plug into the fork by pulling the 8mm towards your chest. This piece holds the bottom of the EDC Tool and stops it from rattling. It also keeps dirt out of your fork and has a small drain hole.

Changed your mind? Doesn't fit? No problem... simply pack your order back up, make sure the product is in the exact same condition it arrived. Please don't write on or apply a label to the product's retail packaging directly.
Note down your Order number in/on the parcel packaging so we can identify it and return to us.

Warranty Returns

Any of our old bike parts that we cannot use or sell on our recycled page we donate to this awesome initiative.

Here at Slam69 we have a collection point for any donations you may have. These guys are creative and innovative, even if parts are no longer fit for bikes, they will create something awesome!
Recently they organised a pub quiz fund raiser which raised them enough money to buy not one, but TWO new work stands, we were stoked to be able to help them attain a bargain price and order these in for them.

Price Match
On top of offering our advice and guidance on the products listed that we personally use, know and have experience with, we understand pricing is a big part of making your decision too. We always try to bring the best pricing, so feel free to give us a nudge when you spot a better price. We are able to Price Match with the majority of items we have available.
We do have some criteria to meet when offering a Price Match.
- Send us the website URL to the competitors lower price. If in store, you can show us on your phone or a print out copy.
- The competitor must be a UK registered shop, we cannot price match against Google searches, Private sellers, eBay, Amazon or similar.
- The product listed must be the exact same as ours; identical condition, model, colour and size.
- The competitor must have the product in stock at the time of the Price Match.
- The Price Match total must be the product price including VAT and delivery.
- A Price Match discount cannot be added after the sale is complete.
